This professional development will provide information on Grants Management, the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This professional development opportunity is geared toward federal program directors, special education directors, CTE directors, business managers, school improvement facilitators, and organizations that receive special funding, such as 21st CCLC and Title I, Part D Funds.

| Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66 | Eligible attendees for this training includes teachers, counselors, and administrators who are employed by a school district or MDE. Unless specifically noted otherwise, external contractors or vendors may not attend. This event is being funded with state and/or federal funds and is being provided for employees of school districts, employees of the Mississippi Department of Education and Department contractors. Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66 prohibits governing authorities from making donations. According to the Mississippi Attorney General, once the federal funds are turned over to the state, the rules for the expenditure of state funds apply. Based on the Mississippi law, this event is not being provided for third party vendors or external providers. |
