Wayne County: 2025-2026 Welcome Back to School Professional Development  Summary/Description CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event): Provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, medical issues and drills.

Principals (K-12): Will conduct Beginning of the Year meetings at their respective schools, covering various instructional topics including (but not limited to): MAAP State Test Data, Code of Ethics/Social Media, Lesson Planning, Mastery Connect, Questioning Techniques, Crisis Management/School Safety, PLC Schedules, Accountability, Interventions, Curriculum Changes, and Behavior Expectations.
