Smith Co. School Dist. PLC Meetings 2025-2026

Smith County School District PLC's are led by hand chosen PLC leaders from among the SCSD faculty. They are chosen based on their performance in the classroom and the data outcomes of their students. They must show strong leadership skills  well. The district PLC's meet once a month to align and create their own curriculum. In the past, each of our schools "did their own thing" with no cohesiveness. There is strength in numbers and that is why this year we are focusing on creating common curriculums for every subject and grade level. The curriculum is a blended mix of every teacher's best. PLC's are learning to use the strengths of each of their members. Groups are even creating common assessments and check for understanding activities. We are seeing tremendous growth in our teachers.
