Smith Co. Multi-tiered System of Supports

April Rice of Excellence Group works with Smith County School District Interventionists to put common procedures in place for MTSS district-wide. She also shows our interventionists how to integrate behavioral supports and social-emotional learning within MTSS. Mrs. Rice also provides training on MTSS documents and shares resources. The alignment of MTSS and child find is discussed. The team also reviews tier folders for accuracy. A complete audit is conducted on our tier system with Mrs. Rice then guiding the interventionists in the areas of weakness.
