School Wide Social Emotional Learning

In the first focus area participants will be presented information on building School Wide Social and Emotional Learning teams, developing  a social emotion learning vision, creating goals, and developing a two way communication system.  The second Focus Area will detail the need for professional learning to build SEL competencies for staff, how to foster staff collaboration, and the importance of modeling SEL for students. Focus Area three will provide participants the opportunity to understand how to promote SEL for students, the importance of selecting a SEL curriculum that is evidenced based, and establishing discipline procedures that promote SEL. The last Focus Area will guide participants through the process of identifying fidelity of implementation and student outcome data and how to use the data for continuous improvement.
