Including Students with SCD in General Education-- a Team Approach

Including Students with SCD in General Education-- a Team Approach

This one-day training provides participants with information on how to plan for and increase inclusive opportunity for students with significant disabilities.  Strategies will be presented on how to include students with significant disabilities in school-wide PBIS, how to provide access to content and activities for all students, and ideas on how to make inclusion more successful for students with challenging behaviors.  Scheduling and programming ideas for inclusion will also be shared.  The roles of the general education teachers, special education teacher, and administrators will be examined.  Opportunities for each of these individuals to collaborate with like-role participants across districts and with teams within districts will be provided.  Foundational PBIS knowledge is highly recommended as this training will not cover general information about PBIS.  This training is similar to training to provided last ear on this topic

Targeted Participants: Special education staff, general education staff, and administrators

You will be provided approximately an hour to have lunch with your training colleagues on your own.  Information on convenient local eateries will be provided at the training.
